Bible story
Cain and Abel
Genesis 4:1–16
Cain worked the ground, and Abel kept sheep. The later account describes their offerings, Cain’s anger, and his killing of Abel. This peaceful opening scene introduces the brothers before that violence. Read the full passage with an adult and talk about anger, responsibility, and caring for others. This printable focuses on Genesis 4:1–2. Read the surrounding passage with children to place the scene in the wider account.
