God Calls Abram

God tells Abram to leave his country, relatives, and father’s household for a land God will show him. God promises to make Abram a great nation, bless him, make his name great, and make him a blessing; all families of the earth will be blessed through him. Abram leaves with Sarai, Lot, their possessions, and their household, travels to Canaan, builds altars to the LORD at Shechem and between Bethel and Ai, and continues toward the Negev.
