The Parable of the Rich Fool

Jesus tells a parable about a wealthy man whose land produces an abundant harvest. The man plans to tear down his barns, build larger ones, store his grain and goods, and live at ease. God calls him a fool because his life will end that very night, leaving his stored possessions behind. Jesus concludes that this is what happens to one who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.
