New Testament · Matthew 21:1-11

Jesus Enters Jerusalem

Jesus approaches Jerusalem, sends two disciples to bring a donkey and its colt, and enters the city humbly in fulfillment of the prophetic message. His disciples place cloaks on the animals, while crowds spread cloaks and branches on the road and praise him as the Son of David. Jerusalem is stirred, and the crowds identify him as the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.
