Rahab Helps the Spies

Joshua 2:1-24

Joshua secretly sends two spies from Shittim to Jericho. Rahab hides them under flax stalks on her roof, lets them down by a rope through her window, and helps them escape to the hills. The spies instruct her to tie a scarlet cord in the window, gather her family inside the house, and keep their mission secret so that she and her household may be spared. After hiding for three days and crossing over, the spies return to Joshua and report that the LORD has given Israel the land and that the people of the land fear Israel.
