Old Testament · 1 Kings 17:1-16

Elijah Is Fed by Ravens

During a drought announced by Elijah, the LORD tells him to hide beside the Brook Cherith. Ravens bring him bread and meat, and he drinks from the brook. When the brook dries because there is no rain, the LORD sends Elijah to Zarephath, where a widow is commanded to provide for him. Though she has only a handful of flour and a little oil, the LORD keeps the flour and oil supplied until rain returns.
