Joseph Forgives His Brothers

During a famine, Joseph’s brothers travel from Canaan to Egypt to buy grain. Joseph recognizes them, tests their honesty and concern for Benjamin, and eventually reveals his identity. He tells them that God sent him ahead to preserve life, forgives and comforts them, and instructs them to bring Jacob and their households to Egypt. Jacob learns that Joseph is alive and resolves to go to him.
