The Bible Story

Jesus Is Risen

Matthew 28:16-17 says that the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them. When they saw Jesus, they worshiped him, though some doubted. This meeting follows the angel’s message at the tomb and Jesus’ instruction to the women to tell his disciples to go to Galilee. Matthew continues by recording Jesus’ authority and his command to make disciples of all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey his commands. Jesus also promises to be with his followers always, to the end of the age.
