Bible story
The First Passover
Exodus 12:1-32
The LORD instructs Moses and Aaron to establish the Passover for Israel. Each household selects and prepares a lamb or young goat, marks its doorway with blood, and eats the meal with unleavened bread and bitter herbs while dressed and ready to depart. The LORD strikes Egypt’s firstborn but passes over the marked Israelite homes. Pharaoh summons Moses and Aaron and orders the Israelites to leave Egypt and worship the LORD.
