Saul Meets Jesus on the Road
Saul, threatening and seeking to kill the Lord’s disciples, obtained authority from the high priest to go to Damascus, find followers of the Way in its synagogues, and bring them bound to Jerusalem. On the road, a heavenly light flashed around him, and Jesus confronted him. Saul entered Damascus blind, where Jesus sent Ananias to him. Ananias laid hands on Saul; Saul regained his sight, was filled with the Holy Spirit, was baptized, ate, regained strength, and spent several days with the disciples. He then began proclaiming in the synagogues that Jesus is the Son of God.
