The Bible Story

The Last Supper

Luke 22:7–13 describes the day when the Passover lamb was sacrificed. Jesus sent Peter and John to prepare the Passover meal. He told them they would meet a man carrying a jar of water and should follow him. The man led them to a furnished upper room, where they were to make the preparations. Luke does not name the man or the owner of the house. This moment shows the disciples carefully following Jesus’ directions as they prepared for the meal he would share with the apostles. The account should remain focused on preparation and should not add details about the meal or events that happened later.
